Organization of religious funerals

The organization of a funeral in not just a rendering of services. It is quite an unpleasant and painful experience for both the family and friends of the decedent, which clearly remains in their minds for a reasonable time.

The ultimate feeling which will remain as a conclusion at the end of the ceremony must be a relief for the family of the deceased as well as a certain belief that everything was performed in the best possible way.

It is our principle that we undertake the organization with respect for your religious customs, your aesthetic preferences and your budget. This leads us to the pursued result which is a ceremony characterized from dignity, professionalism and consistency.

A civil ceremony includes similar procedures, except from the usual part of the memorial ceremony inside the Church.

Depending on the available infrastructures of each cemetery in which the burial will take place, a civil funeral can be celebrated either indoors or in the courtyard of the cemetery.

The prices and the organization of a funeral ceremony are always determined according to the provided services and products, for example the type of coffin, the variety and size of flower, the choir etc.

Αn additional factor that shapes the final cost is the cemetery which is chosen for the burial, due to the rights of burial and other charges that vary by municipality and cemetery.

The services provided in the organization of a ceremony:

• We set the day and time of the ceremony.

• We transfer with our private hearses the mortal remains from the place of death in the refrigeration room of the cemetery or in the mortuary if an autopsy is required.

• We take care of the preparation and beautification for the body with specialized personnel.

• We resolve any bureaucratic process relating to the issuance of the burial license and the required death certificate

• We undertake the decoration of the church with beautiful floral compositions.

• We provide our office’s professional personnel to transfer the corpse with choice of colour shades in clothing (blue, gray or white suits and black tuxedo).

• We provide luxurious hearses for the funeral procession.

• We announce the ceremony’s event in the chosen newspapers.

• We print and post the ceremony’s death notice.

• We arrange the transportation of the attendees to/from the cemetery by hiring coaches, within or outside of city of Athens in the case of repatriation.

• We provide a wide range of qualitative and exclusively Greek coffins.

• We order and transfer the floral funeral wreaths.

• We provide the choir (Byzantine or European) which accompanies the priests at the funeral ceremony.

• We ensure the presence of Archimandrite or Archpriest, to perform Episcopal religious funeral.

• We record the number of visitors and wreaths sent to the funeral, which we deliver at the end of the ceremony. We arrange that the proper thank you cards will be send to the attendees.

• We book the coffee house in the cemeteries for the ceremony. Upon request we book restaurants or banquet halls of your choice and/or we take over the catering if you want to host a luncheon after the ceremony.
