Corpse’s transfer outside Athens
Our office fully undertakes the corpse’s transport and the celebration of the ceremony, in every part of Greece.
We take care of each planning of the ceremony, the issuance of the necessary documents and transfer licenses, the preparation and grooming of the corpse.
The ceremony includes:
• Greek coffin suitable for the transportation
• Clothing set for the coffin (sheets, pillow, shroud, hand’s ribbon, face scarf)
• The remains transfer from the death’s place to the cemetery’s cooling chamber so as to prepare and stay until the departure
• Additional corpse’s transport to and from the mortuary, in case that autopsy is requested
• The coffin’s decoration with flowers and the care of the deceased
• The floral cross
• The issuance of the burial permittion and death certificate
• A one-day stay of the corpse in a cold chamber until the ceremony’s scheduling
• The remains’s transfer from Athens with the chosen hearse as well as the driver’s stay during the celebration of the funeral
• The remuneration of our office
• If departing from an island is prohibited before the return of our guide, there will be daily charges for board and lodging expenses, to the lifting of the prohibition.
